The Demon Sword Master of Excalibur Academy is written by Yū Shimizu (author of the popular series Bladedance of Elementalers, with over 2 million copies sold), and original character concepts by Asagi Tohsaka (known for illustrating Girly Air Force). Together, they make an unbeatable duo! The series takes place in a fantasy school setting, centered around an ancient Dark Lord who awakens in the form of a 10 year-old child and meets a host of lovely heroines.
The broadcast start date for TV anime The Demon Sword Master of Excalibur Academy is slated for October 2 (Wed)! ABEMA will also exclusively distribute the anime in advance on September 25 (Mon).
Prior to the broadcast, the first episode’s synopsis, scene previews, and the third PV have been released.

■Episode 1: “The Dark Lord’s Revival”
In ancient times of myth, the Undead King Leonis Death Magnus was driven to the brink of defeat by the legendary heroes of humanity. The Dark Lord went into a deep sleep, determined to regain his strength and return with a vengeance.
One thousand years pass. Awakening and finding himself in an unexpected state, Leonis is met and taken care of by a girl named Riselia, who had come to investigate the ruins. However, they are attacked by the Voids–the enemy of humanity. Regina, a friend of Riselia, fights back using “Excalibur”, an ability unknown to Leonis. Thrown into a world that has utterly changed since his deep sleep began, Leonis is forced to make a decision.

It’s finally almost time for The Demon Sword Master of Excalibur Academy to air!
I can’t wait to see all the action unfold with Leo, Riselia, and the rest of the eighteenth platoon in my living room (?).
The series began back in 2019, and as the author it’s truly a blessing to have received this much love for the series from the fans, even to the point of it receiving its own manga and anime adaptations!
Regarding the anime adaptation, I was able to have several in-depth meetings with the director and scriptwriters so we could maximize the strengths of the original work while also seeking to create the unique fun that only an anime can give.
As the author of the original work, I am confident that the director and the many others who worked together on this project have truly created a wonderful anime, and I’m certain the fans will be pleased! I hope you will all look forward to it!

I’m Asagi Tohsaka, and I do the illustrations that appear in the original work.
At long last, The Demon Sword Master of Excalibur Academy anime is about to air!

New TV Anime The Demon Sword Master of Excalibur Academy
■Synopsis
As the most powerful of the Dark Lords, Leonis sealed his body away to one day exact his revenge. However, when he is awakened after 1000 years of slumber, he finds that his body has reverted to that of a 10 year-old boy!
“How could this be?!” He wonders to himself, when a young woman discovers him.
“How’d you get stuck in here, little guy? Don’t worry, I’ll protect you,” the young woman says, trying to comfort the awakened Dark Lord.
This girl, Riselia, is a student at Excalibur Academy, and Leonis is astonished when he finds out how drastically his world has changed. Hearing about such things as the unknown and hostile Voids, the Seventh Assault Garden, and the absurdly powerful Excalibur, Leonis is totally lost in his new surroundings but ultimately enrolls in Excalibur Academy.
In a future world that has lost its connection to magic, the mightiest Dark Lord joins forces with beautiful heroines in this fantasy school story!
